Our Curriculum

At Bellfield Primary School, our curriculum is innovative, ambitious, and designed to inspire every child. While the National Curriculum provides our foundation, we go beyond its expectations to ensure all pupils reach their full potential in the subjects that ignite their passion.

Our approach ensures children develop both substantive knowledge (what they learn) and disciplinary knowledge (how they think and work like subject specialists) across all areas. We place a strong emphasis on securing sound foundational knowledge, giving pupils the confidence and skills they need before moving on. For children with SEND, learning is carefully adapted and supported so that every child can access the curriculum and succeed.

Through exciting topics, real-life experiences, and opportunities to explore and create, our curriculum opens doors to future possibilities, nurtures curiosity, and fosters a lifelong love of learning for every child.
